I have been playing guitar for more than 35 years. In 1983 I graduated from Berklee College of Music. I am currently teaching guitar, mandolin and banjo at Jack's Drum Shop, 347 Main St., Hyannis (508)778-2307. In addition to private lessons I have nine years of experience as a pre-school and elementary school music teacher. I am currently playing guitar in All The Right Music (AllTheRightMusic.com), a guitar and keyboard jazz duo. Formerly I was the guitarist with Pocketfull of Soul (R & B and funk), Big Dave and the Defenders (blues), and I also played guitar and mandolin with The Larry Enright Band (Irish).

All ages, all levels of ability and all areas of interest are welcome. My current students range from early grade school children to seniors, beginners to advanced.
All of my students learn to read music and will gain the knowledge and skill to become proficient at their instrument through their weekly lessons. Students will also learn some music theory so they will have a better understanding of how music "works". A better understanding of how the elements of music work together to make songs can help the student play and memorize material sooner. Lessons are one half hour per week. Students should expect to practice lesson material a minimum of three times a week, 20 to 30 minutes each practice session.
